All magistrates within the Magistrates Court of Western Australia are appointed as Children's Court Magistrates. As such the Children's Court of Western Australia provides services to all country circuit locations available within the Magistrates Court of Western Australia.
The Perth Children's Court provides magistrates who circuit to outer metropolitan courts (Rockingham, Joondalup, Midland, Fremantle and Armadale) to deal with Children's Court matters. The Perth Children's Court is able to provide a magistrate for any regional location should a lengthy Children's Court trial arise that cannot be accommodated within the regional location's circuit calendar.
The President of the Children's Court also travels to regional locations in order to conduct trials when the need arise.
