I refer to the answers to question on notice No. 5113 and a question without notice, dated Tuesday, 18 October 2011, asked by Hon Sally Talbot MLC; and to the appointment of Mr Daniel Bruckner of CITIC Pacific Mining Management Pty Ltd to the role of special anthropologist to the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee (ACMC), and ask —
(1) Did Mr Daniel Bruckner apply to be the specialist anthropologist to the ACMC?
(2) If yes to (1), on what date did this occur?
(3) If no to (1), how was he subsequently appointed as specialist anthropologist in September 2011?
(4) If yes to (1), why did he not accept the position, if he applied for it and was appointed?
(5) At the time of his application was Mr Daniel Bruckner working for CITIC Pacific Mining Management Pty Ltd?
(6) If yes to (5), does the Registrar and/or the Minister consider it appropriate for an employee of the mining industry to serve as special anthropologist advising the ACMC?
