813. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer broadly to the principle of
parental responsibility in circumstances of offending by young people.
(1) Can the
minister recall section 58 of the Young Offenders Act 1994 being invoked to
make responsible adults liable for paying
the fine or fines of young people found guilty of committing an offence or
offences?
(2) If yes to (1), can the minister
please provide details?
