I ask a supplementary question. With regard to the areas that the minister said are out of bounds, would she at least ensure that she fully investigates the possibility of looking at ground salvage in all state forests? Dr EDWARDS

The answer is somewhat more complicated than the member would suggest, because harvesting plants are needed to undertake those activities, and we need to go through a number of steps. Overarching all of that is the new forest management plan that is currently in place. However, I am happy, and I have asked, for those agencies to work together within the bounds of that plan to give special consideration to the craft wood end, and I will now extend that to the area that the member is talking about, which will help into the future. I will take some action now to consider the situation under the current forest management plan, and I have also previously initiated some work from my office in response to inquiries to my office, but more from the small furniture end than from the people whom the member is talking about, and I will continue to look at that for the next forest management plan.
