Premier:
I refer to the Public Sector Commission's role in the
recruitment of a new director general of Health.
(1) How many candidates were on the shortlist prepared by the
PSC?
(2) Have any interviews taken place since the completion of
the shortlist; and, if so, on what date or dates?
(3) What has been the cost of the recruitment process to
date?
(4) Is tender PSC000019 associated with the recruitment of
the new director general of Health?
(5) If no to (4), which agency's chief executive
officer is associated with that tender?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) A preliminary
shortlisting process identified six candidates for further consideration. The
selection process, which includes an ongoing executive search process, remains
in place.
(2) Yes; on 8 May 2013.
(3) The cost to
date includes: advertising, $35 908; consultant, $55 000 from the contract
award of $82 500; and contingencies, $13 963.
(4) No.
(5) Commissioner, Department of
Corrective Services.
