I refer to a media release by the Department of Environment dated 4 December 2003 in which the department stated - The Department of Environment (DoE) is looking for ways to improve dust management and monitoring in the area surrounding the Rinker Group (trading as Readymix) operations at Martin in the City of Gosnells. The Minister for the Environment has provided the following reply - No specific changes to the Environmental Protection Act 1986 licence for the Readymix quarry in Martin have been made since December 2003. The Department of Environmental Protection conducted a full compliance inspection on 14 November 2003 and no breaches of the licence were found. The DEP will continue to enforce the current licence and respond to public complaints about dust in the area.
