(1) Can the Minister advise the number of car parking bays located at each train station on the following rail way lines, -
(a) Joondalup;
(b) Midland;
(c) Fremantle;
(d) Mandurah; and
(e) Thornlie/Armadale?
(2) At each station, how many parking bays are in each category, such as, lock ‘n’ ride and free?
(3) Can the Minister advise at what time each day, the capacity status of each car park is full?
(4) When car parks become full, can the Minister advise how many cars park in the surrounding streets?
(5) Can the Minister provide a date to when the last train station car park survey was done for each train station?

(3)  Note that stations which do not have car parking facilities have not been listed [see tabled paper no ].
(4)  An indication of car parking in surrounding streets around station is provided in the attached table [see tabled paper no ].  It should be noted that the Public Transport Authority is unable to confirm at some sites whether parking around stations is being used by rail patrons or for other reasons. Some street parking does occur to avoid using the secured (paid) parking areas and at certain sites street parking occurs to avoid a longer walk from the car park to the station.
(5) The Public Transport Authority last conducted a survey of car parks at stations on the Joondalup, Mandurah, Armadale, Midland and Fremantle lines during September 2010.
