Responded by
Parliamentary Secretary representing the Minister for Transport
Response time
56 days
a)  Perth bound  495 passengers.
Midland bound 1 957 passengers.
(b)  Perth bound 1 430.
Midland bound 1 170.
(c)  Perth bound 2 530.
Midland bound 2 070.
(d) Some of the scheduled services that the Member has identified as departing Perth station do not exist. I have however, provided the following current scheduled times during the period identified.
(i) 4.00pm 203 passengers.
(ii) 4.10pm 333 passengers.
(iii) 4.20pm 261 passengers.
(iv) 4.30pm 314 passengers.
(v) 4.40pm 324 passengers.
(vi) 4.50pm 383 passengers.
(vii) 5.00pm 353 passengers.
The numbers provided in (a) and (d) are based on patronage recorded between the 8 March 2010 and 12 March 2010 inclusive and averaged over the five days. The variance in the total passenger numbers Midland bound shown in part (a) and (d) is because a proportion of passenger tag-offs which is used in part to calculate these numbers would be after 5pm, for example the services departing Perth at 4.50 pm and 5.00pm arrive at Midland after that time.
