KALGOORLIE HEALTH CAMPUS — MAGNETIC
RESONANCE IMAGING MACHINE
800. Hon ROBIN SCOTT to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to my previous question on the subject of a magnetic
resonance imaging machine for Kalgoorlie Health Campus.
(1) Has the
government received any approach from any commercial organisation seeking to
install and operate a magnetic resonance imaging machine in Kalgoorlie?
(2) Noting
that, as a result of representations from Senator Peter Georgiou, the federal
government has promised an MRI licence for Kalgoorlie regional hospital, is the
government contemplating selling that licence to a commercial operator?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question. I am advised as follows.
(1) The WA
Country Health Service has not been approached by any commercial organisation
seeking to install and operate an MRI machine in Kalgoorlie.
(2) WACHS has not had any discussions regarding the licence.
