(a) Upon being advised of the motor vehicle incident in relation to Ms Woods, line management within the Department took immediate action, which included advising the Acting Director General. The correspondence to Ms Woods, approximately six weeks after the event, followed the findings of an investigation by the line manager into the event and advice from the Principal Legal Officer.
(b) At first instance the matter was dealt with more informally by line management.
