I refer to the Western Australian Police Force and
Indigenous artist collaboration in 2017, and ask: (a) How many Police vehicles featured the Indigenous art; (b) How many artists were awarded a contract to produce
the artwork on the Police vehicles; (c) How much was paid to each artist to produce the
artwork on each Police vehicle; and (d) What was the tendering process used for this
initiative?

The Western  Australian Police Force advise:
(a) 10
(b) Seven artists granted a licence to the WA Police Force to reproduce their artwork on WA Police Vehicles.
(c) Payments were made by the Department of Aboriginal Affairs. It is understood artists received payment of $1,000 for each police vehicle their reproduced artwork was displayed upon.
(d) As referred in response (b), no contract was awarded as the procurement was initiated as a direct purchase below $50,000. This was done in accordance with State Supply Commission policies.
