574. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the Minister for Finance:
I refer to the minister's announcement on Monday, 30
July 2012 regarding a new maritime common-use facility at Lumsden Point.
(1) Has the
government undertaken any work to establish an indicative cost for this
development?
(2) If yes to (1), what is the estimated cost for the total
project?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question, and for his interest in this matter.

The state government is currently undertaking studies to determine the
feasibility of the proposed Pilbara maritime common-use facility. It is
anticipated that these feasibility studies will provide the government with an
indicative cost of the proposed development.
