I refer to my previous questions to the Minister regarding the announcement by the former Prime Minister to set a target of 26 percent to 28 percent carbon reduction by 2030 and I ask: (a) has the Minister received a briefing from any agency on the impact of this target on the energy sector in Western Australia, and if yes: (i) which agency has provided this briefing; (ii) when did you receive this briefing; (iii) did the briefing canvas the impact on electricty prices, and if so, what is the expected impact; and (iv) did the briefing canvas the impact on CO2e emissions in the energy sector, and if so, what is the expected impact?

(a)(i-iv) Since the announcement by the former Prime Minister to set a target of 26 percent to 28 percent carbon reduction by 2030 in August 2015, the Minister has had numerous meetings with the Public Utilities Office and Synergy on the impact of this target on the energy sector in Western Australia.
