I refer to the Expression of Interest, dated 26 September 2019, for a Medical Respite Centre Pilot, designed to provide medical care for homeless people who are too ill to recover from physical injury on the streets, but not ill enough to be in a hospital, and ask: (a) Has a contract been awarded for this project and if so, who will operate the centre; (b) Has a site been located for the centre and if so, what is the address; and (c) On what date will the centre be operational?

I am advised:
(a) No. The two-stage procurement process was finalised in March 2020. It did not identify a suitable respondent.
(b) No. The community service request for the Medical Respite Centre Pilot required the respondent to demonstrate their capacity to provide the facility. The location of the facility needed to be within and adjacent to the boundary of the City of Perth Local Government Area.
(c) Not applicable.
