HARTFIELD
PARK REDEVELOPMENT — FORRESTFIELD
1335. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the Liberal election promise of $6 million for
Hartfield Park redevelopment in Forrestfield.
(1) Was the funding provided in response to an application
made by the Shire of Kalamunda?
(2) To date,
how much funding has been given to the Shire of Kalamunda, and what is the time
frame for the remaining funding to be allocated?
(3) Is the allocation of funding measured against how the
funding is expended?
(4) Is the
Shire of Kalamunda bound to include three hockey playing fields at the new
sporting complex, as stated in the Liberal Party's election commitment?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The funding is based on a master
plan the shire completed in 2010.
(2) Funding of
$150 000 has been given to the shire. The remaining funds will be paid on the
implementation of stages of the master plan between now and the end of the 2015–16
financial year.
(3) Refer to the response to part
(2).
(4) The shire is
required to deliver hockey fields in accordance with the master plan. This
requirement can be varied by agreement between the state and the shire.
