MEMBER FOR
VASSE — ROAD TRAFFIC INCIDENT — POLICE INVESTIGATION
90. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the
Minister for Police:
I have a supplementary question. Why will the minister not
tell the house whether or not a collision with other vehicles or property is
under investigation?

AnswerView source ↗

The reason I will not respond to the specifics of the member's
inquiry is that it is an ongoing police investigation.
Mrs M.H. Roberts :
What is? What are you investigating?
The SPEAKER :
Member for Midland!
Mrs M.H. Roberts :
What is being investigated; that is what I am asking.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Midland, I call you to order for the first time.
Mrs L.M. HARVEY :
It is an ongoing investigation by police. As is customary in these matters, we
give police the space to do a thorough and professional investigation. It is
what they are resourced to do. It is what they are trained to do. I do not
believe that interference in these matters is appropriate. The police will
reveal the outcome of their investigation in due course, once they have
completed their investigation.
