The State government supports the strengthening of skills training for truck drivers in the heavy haulage industry.
The Department of Training and Workforce Development is currently consulting with the Department of Transport and representatives of the industry to ascertain skills requirements and delivery options. A proposal addressing training requirements, location(s) and associated costs is being developed.  Details of the initiative will be provided once a decision is made.
