CONTAINER DEPOSIT LEGISLATION
I refer to ongoing announcements by the government about container deposit legislation. (1) Has the government drafted regulations for a container deposit scheme for Western Australia? (2) If yes to (1), when does the government aim to commence the scheme; and will draft regulations be available for public comment? (3) If no to (1), why not? Hon SALLY TALBOT

(3) The government has made no decision on the introduction of a container deposit scheme in Western Australia. The Minister for the Environment is awaiting independent economic analysis on the introduction of such a scheme before any decision is made.
