DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND
EMERGENCY SERVICES — ROSTER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
937. Hon RICK MAZZA to the minister representing the
Minister for Emergency Services:
I refer to the Department of Fire
and Emergency Services recently publishing a tender calling for expressions of
interest in developing a new personnel roster management system.
(1) Does the
government have any plans to merge, amalgamate, rename or abolish any current
volunteer emergency service?
(2) Why does the DFES tender for a personnel roster
management system state that future changes to legislation will force
local government bushfire volunteers to report directly to DFES?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) No.
(2) The
Department of Fire and Emergency Services has not engaged in a tender process
for a personnel roster management system. The department has released, via
Tenders WA, a request for information. The RFI does not state this.
