464. Hon Sophie McNeill to the Minister for the
Environment:
I refer to the
federal application for the Murujuga Rock Art to be listed as a UNESCO World
Heritage site, which the WA state government is supporting.
(1) Is the minister and/or any members or
representatives of the WA Government planning on attending the July 2025 World
Heritage committee meeting?
(2) If yes to (1), who will be attending?
(3) Are any of the scientific members of the
Murujuga Rock Art Monitoring Program planning on attending the July 2025 World
Heritage committee meeting?
(4) If yes to (3), who will be attending?

(1)–(4) Yes. I intend on attending along
with one adviser, one staff member from the Department of Biodiversity,
Conservation and Attractions and the lead scientist for the Murujuga Rock Art
Monitoring Program, subject to necessary administrative approvals.
