OPTUS STADIUM — MATAGARUP BRIDGE
619. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the supply agreement
between York Rizzani and the Bianco Engineering Services–Toyota Tsusho
joint venture to manufacture the bridge decking and design features of the
pedestrian footbridge to Optus Stadium.
(1) Which company
was contracted to undertake the land-based formwork and construction for the
bridge?
(2) At the time
of the termination of the supply agreement, how much of the land-based formwork
and construction had been completed?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable Leader of the
Opposition for some notice of the question. Although it is unclear what the
member is referring to by the term ''land-based formwork'', and
given Main Roads' interpretation of the question, the answer is as
follows.
(1) The concrete
piers that form the substructure of the bridge and support the arches were
completed by the York Rizzani joint venture.
(2) At the time of termination,
these piers were complete.
