As previously published in the former Department of Environment and
Conservation Yearbooks, I ask will the Minister table the following information
in relation to prescribed burning within the three south-west forest regions
(as defined by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions
(DBCA)) for the years 2021-22, and 2022-23 in table form: (a) the area and number of prescribed burns: (i) in each land category (as classified by DBCA); and (ii) the total area and total number; and (b) the area of prescribed burns in each region broken down by the following: (i) dominant purpose; (ii) season (ha); (iii) grand total by season (ha); (iv) seasonal (percentage); and (v) grand total (ha)?

(a)  - (b) The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) does not have this information readily available for tabling as it is not collated as part of the automated reporting process. Given the level of agency resourcing required to source and prepare the requested information, it is not considered to be a reasonable use of government resources.
