(2) The Police Service advises there have been no reported instances of an Aboriginal Police Liaison Officer discharging a firearm in the course of their duties for the period 19 March 2001 to 20 March 2002. (3) Nine Aboriginal Liaison Officers are recorded as having sustained injuries in the course of their duties in the year 19 March 2001 to 20 March 2002. (4) The Police Service advise there have been no instances of an Aboriginal Police Liaison Officer being reprimanded in relation to their firearm in the course of their duties for the period 1 January 2001 to 20 March 2002. However, there has been one recorded incident of an accidental discharge by an APLO, that occurred in 2000. The officer concerned was formally counselled.
