Of the 37 unsuccessful applicants for timber resource -
(1) How many were currently operating timber businesses?
(2) Of those how many people were directly employed by those applicants?
(3) Has any estimate been made by your department as to the numbers of persons dependent on those businesses either by actual inquiry or by application of a multiplier factor?
(4) What measures will the Government be taking to give immediate assistance to those persons who will become unemployed?
(5) What size are each of these businesses and who are they?

(4) These people may be eligible for Worker Assistance funding including redundancy and training and other funding. Details should be requested of the Minister for State Development.
