parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) In the
financial year 2014–15, what work has been undertaken by Main Roads on
the intersection of Scott Street and Great Eastern Highway, Greenmount, to
improve safety at this intersection?
(2) What plans does Main Roads have to improve safety at this
intersection in 2015–16?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) Main Roads provided the reinstatement of various
pavement markings at the intersection. These reinstatement works consisted of
edge line and continuity lines at the right turn median pocket, continuity
lines, edge lines, outline markings, give way lines and left turn pavement arrows
at the left turn pocket, and stop lines and continuity lines at Scott Street.
(2) Main Roads plans to resurface the westbound carriageway.
