I refer to the list of major initiatives for 2006-07 as detailed on page 97 of the Budget documents under the Department of Premier and Cabinet and ask -
(1) Which two schools have been selected for the pilot project of the teachers’ resource kit, the development of which was listed as a major achievement in 2005-06?
(2) Why has the trial been limited to two schools?

(1) Discussions will be taking place with the Department of Education and Training to decide which two schools would be the most appropriate for the pilot project. (2) Pilot projects can interfere with school routine and conducting pilots in two schools is normally considered sufficient to obtain the feedback required. (3) The Teachers' Resource Kit is intended to be made available to all Government, independent and Catholic secondary schools in Western Australia.
