The Oval Subi East, is a long-term urban redevelopment project which commenced with the demolition of the former Subiaco Stadium.
The complex demolition involved significant asbestos removal, working in close proximity to residential areas, as well as sensitive retention of heritage elements. Over 100,000 tonnes of concrete, steel and glass was required to be removed from site.
All new public realm areas have been delivered.
Subi East will provide eleven residential development lots, with ten already delivered, equating to 45,900m². The one residential development lot still to be delivered equates to 1,300m².
The estimated yield of residential dwellings is informed by potential lot sizing and site zoning. The final dwelling numbers will reflect the private proponents final design and built form outcomes.
Two have been sold to UEM Sunrise Bhd.
