I refer to the Standards and Integrity Directorate within the Department of Education, and I ask: (a) How many matters were referred to the Standards and Integrity Directorate in calendar year 2025; (b) Please provide an equivalent answer to (a) for each of the following years: (i) 2024; (ii) 2023; (iii) 2022; (iv) 2021; and (v) 2020; (c) How many matters were resolved by the Directorate in 2025; and (d) Please provide an equivalent answer to (c) for each of the following years: (i) 2024; (ii) 2023; (iii) 2022; (iv) 2021; and (v) 2020?

Not all complaints received by the Standards and Integrity Directorate (SID) involve alleged misconduct. Such complaints will be redirected to the relevant area of the Department.
Complaints actioned by the Standards and Integrity Directorate include referral for local management, the commencement of a disciplinary investigation or an assessment that no further action is required.
(a) In 2025, 2,421 complaints were received by the Standards and Integrity Directorate.
