DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITIES
— WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS
256. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the minister's
answer to question without notice 207, which stated that eight additional
temporary positions had been added to the working with children check screening
unit.
(1) How long will each of the
additional temporary contracts be for?
(2) Are each of the positions full
time?
(3) If no to (2), what is the
proportion of FTE for each position?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Each contract
is currently due to cease on 30 June 2020. Further resourcing requirements for
beyond that date will be determined closer to 30 June 2020.
(2)–(3) Each
position is funded on a full-time basis. One position is operating at 0.6 FTE
to support the officer with family commitments.
