(1) The communities of Point Samson and Wickham have access to doctors at the Wickham Health Centre or through Mawarnkarra Aboriginal Medical Service based in Roebourne. Both services operate during normal business hours Monday to Friday. After hours access to emergency care in either community is available at Roebourne Hospital.
(2) The Pilbara Health Network, with support from the resources industry, has taken over what was previously a Gemini Medical operated service.
(3) The WA Country Health Service has made the former Gemini Medical practice rooms of the Wickham Health Centre available to Pilbara Health Network at a peppercorn rate. WACHS is also providing nursing and administrative support during normal business hours.
