I refer to the Premier’s answer to Question Without Notice 685, which suggests there are 102 refuge units in the pipeline, and I ask: (a) What is the total number of bed spaces that will be delivered across the 102 units; (b) Can the Minister table a breakdown of the 102 units by: (i) region; (ii) suburb/town; (iii) project Status (planning, funded or under construction); (iv) expected completion date; and (v) ownership and delivery model (State owned, state funded but operated by another organisation, jointly funded or other); and (c) For each unit listed above please confirm if it is: (i) a new build; (ii) expansion; and (iii) refurbishment or upgrade?

(a - c) In the Premier’s answer to Question Without Notice 685, a ‘unit’ refers to capacity within a family and domestic violence accommodation facility, that is available to accommodate a victim-survivor (with or without accompanying children) on any given night. The configuration of beds in a unit is flexible to accommodate different numbers of children.
As at 6 May 2026, the total capacity of projects in the pipeline for crisis and transitional accommodation is 100.
The data in the below table is accurate as at 6 May 2026 and does not include specific suburbs to protect the safety and confidentiality of victim-survivors.
