(1)-(2) For 2014, the Department of Training and Workforce Development only has VET FEE HELP loan data for public training providers including, State Training Providers and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
There were loans for 3,491 publicly-funded course enrolments with public training providers in 2014.
As at 31 March 2015, there have been loans for 3,197 publicly-funded course enrolments. Of these, 29 have been with private training providers and 3,168 have been with public training providers.
(3) In 2014, the average loan value per course enrolment was $3,342. In 2015, to date the average loan value per course enrolment has been $2,852.
(4)-(5) In 2014, there were loans for 122 government subsidised course enrolments to students living in the South West studying with public training providers. In 2015 to date, there have been loans for 111 government subsidised course enrolments to students living in the South West. Of these, one has been studying with a private training provider and 110 have been studying with public training providers.
(6) In 2014, the average loan value per course enrolment for students living in the South West was $3,196. In 2015 to date, the average loan value per course enrolment for students living in the South West has been $3,624.
(7) The 2014-15 planned grants and subsidies for training delivery are as follows:
(a) public training providers - $377 million (includes funding for vocational education and training delivery at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and Notre Dame University).
(b) private training providers - $103 million.
(8) As at 31 March 2015:
(a) there were 38 122 publicly funded students enrolled with State Training Providers.
(b) there were 2743 publicly funded students enrolled with the South West Institute of Technology.
(c) there were 18 051 publicly funded students enrolled with private training providers.
