I am answering this question in my capacity as the minister representing the Minister Assisting the Treasurer, which is very confusing, to say the least. However, that is the way it has to be done, I gather; albeit that the question relates to fisheries. (1) Transfer duty will continue to apply in these circumstances after 1 July 2010. (2) Duty will no longer apply on or after 1 July 2013. (3) This was announced as one of the corrective measures by the government in the 2009–10 midyear review of the state budget.
