FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES — VOLUNTEERS —
PTSD PRESUMPTION
317. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question.
There is some level of insurance for volunteers under DFES but because of the interjurisdictional
problems here, it would need support from the Premier for a change to happen. I
ask again: will the Premier consider making a change to include PTSD cover for
volunteers?

Everything is always under
consideration, but the main thing is that those people whose full-time
employment is to be engaged in fighting fires and emergency services have
received this protection that they never received under the last government,
and we are pleased to have provided it.
