The Department of Commerce advises:
(1) Due to the interrelationships between the
Retirement Villages Amendment Act 2012
(the Amendment Act), the regulations and the code, all reforms to retirement villages legislation will be implemented together with the commencement of the Amendment Act in early 2014.
(2) The revised code will be completed and take effect at the same time as the Amendment Act and its regulations.
