(1) 11 claims of discrimination (excluding autism) on the grounds of impairment in the area of education have been lodged with the Equal Opportunity Commission against the Director General of the Department of Education and Training by parents since February 2002. The Complaints Management Unit responds to all requirements in these claims on behalf of the Director General.
