I refer to the Armstrong inquiry into herbicide sprayers in the Kimberley. (1) Will the minister list the names and relevant qualifications of everyone who has been engaged to assist the Armstrong inquiry or the former herbicide workers? (2) Can the minister describe the role undertaken by the appointees listed in (1), either formally or informally, in the Armstrong inquiry and/or the provision of assistance to the former workers? (3) Will the minister commit to table the Armstrong inquiry report before the Christmas parliamentary recess? (1) The names and qualifications of members of the expert medical panel were included in the interim report by the expert medical panel dated February 2003. They are Professor Bruce Armstrong, Chair AM, FAA, BMedSc (Hons), MBBS (Hons), DPhil (Oxon), FRACP, FAFPHM; Dr Tom Driscoll PhD, MBBS, MOHS; Dr Geoffrey Duggin FRACP, FAFPHM, MBBS; Dr Peter Greenberg MD, PhD, FRACP; and Dr Robert Kenyon BSc, PhD, MBBS, FAFOM. The Derby Aboriginal Health Service has been contracted by the Department of Health to provide care and support to ex-Agriculture Protection Board workers and to other people who believe their health has been affected by contact with herbicides used in the spraying program. Derby Aboriginal Health Service medical practitioners participate in this service. The nurse who is dedicated to the DAHS support service, Joanne Moore, is an enrolled nurse. (2) The panel is chaired by Professor Armstrong. All members of the panel work to address the terms of reference of the expert medical panel, which are included in the interim report.
