163. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the Minister for Agriculture and
Food:
I refer to the current drought
conditions being experienced by primary producers located in the Murchison and
Gascoyne regions.
(1) Has the
government received any requests for financial assistance to transport feed or
assist with the relocation of livestock for those producers suffering extreme
hardship?
(2) If yes, will the government
provide financial assistance; and, if so, in what form?
(3) If no to (2), why not?
(4) In the absence of financial
assistance, what support is being provided to those primary producers?

Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development provides information
to primary producers via its Season 2024
