representing the Attorney General:
I refer to the recent amendment to
the Misuse of Drug Act 2017, allowing sentencing of life imprisonment for the
possession of 28 grams or more of methamphetamine. How many people have been
sentenced to life imprisonment since the law gained royal assent?
