(1) Will the Minister please supply a current organisation membership list citing the representatives of these bodies?
(2) How many times did MELC met in the last and current financial years and how many times is MELC proposing to meet in the next financial year?

(1) The Minerals Environment Liaison Committee (MELC) last met on 15 November 2000. At that time the membership of MELC was as follows:- Member Organisation Represented Mr Lee Ranford (Chair) Department of Minerals and Energy Ms Jane Aberdeen Chamber of Minerals and Energy Mr Robin Chapple Australian Conservation Foundation Mr Tim Gentle Department of Environmental Protection Mr Frank Batini Department of Conservation and Land Management Mr Ian Briggs Department of Resources Development Mr Alan Wright Water and Rivers Commission Mr Greg Beeston Agriculture WA Ms Rachel Siewert Conservation Council of WA Mr Doug Koontz Association of Mining and Exploration Companies Mr Bill Phillips Department of Minerals and Energy Mr Bill Carr Department of Minerals and Energy Mr Bill Biggs Department of Minerals and Energy Mr Tony Smurthwaite Department of Minerals and Energy (2) MELC has not met since 15 November 2000.
