643. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the Minister for Indigenous
Affairs:
I refer to the minister's 11 September 2012 answer to
question on notice 5942.
(1) Did the
deputy director general, operations, of the Department of Indigenous Affairs,
who withdrew the 25 July 2011 advice to Woodside, work for the Department of
State Development in relation to the proposed Browse LNG precinct before his
employment at DIA; and, if so, in what capacity?
(2) Has the
deputy director general, operations, recorded the receipt of any gifts from
Woodside in DIA's fees, gifts and gratuities register for the 2010,
2011 or 2012 calendar years; and, if so, what has been recorded?
(3) Can the
minister confirm that on 3 August 2011, in emailed advice to officers of the
commonwealth Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and
Communities, the deputy director general, operations, suggested that the areas
of importance and significance identified by the Department of Aboriginal Sites
to the Mining Warden's Court in 1991 were limited to the coastal dunes
system, and does the minister stand by this advice?
(4) Has the
deputy director general, operations, provided any advice to the Environmental
Protection Authority or its chairman about the adequacy of the Aboriginal
heritage processes undertaken by the Department of State Development or
Woodside for the purposes of the Browse LNG precinct; and, if so, what advice,
and when?
