I've been advised a communication error in June lead to incorrect advice on the use of filtered water. The error was identified and corrected quickly by Royal Perth Hospital. I continue to be advised that water at all our hospitals is safe to drink.
Bottled water has always routinely been made available for severely immunocompromised patients, as per standard policy.
Ensuring adequate access to drinking water for staff, patients and visitors is of the upmost importance and as such Royal Perth Hospital is currently considering the installation of additional filtered drinking water taps in certain areas.
