NINGA MIA COMMUNITY — DIALYSIS PATIENTS
I refer to the four Aboriginal dialysis patients currently sleeping under tarps and tents and in cars on the outskirts of the Ninga Mia community, five kilometres from Kalgoorlie, which was also reported in the Kalgoorlie Miner of 25 November 2011. (1) Has the department been approached to provide assistance to these patients, to provide rubbish bins or any other assistance? (2) What assistance will the department now provide in the short term?
