I refer the minister to his answer to my question without notice No 560 of 27 November, and ask - (1) Did the acting director general of the Department of Education provide to the minister a list of proposed appointees to acting positions within the senior executive service of the Department of Education? (2) If so, was Mr Harkin recommended to the position of acting deputy director of the department and, if he was not, who was? (3) Did the minister or any of his staff refer the matter of the acting appointments to the director general of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and, if not, how was the matter referred?
