I refer to the Mid Year Review additional expenditure for the Department
of Premier and Cabinet Intergovernmental Relations Directorate and ask: (a) What is the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and headcount for the Directorate; (b) Has the Directorate sought advice or provided advice on the following Federal-State relations issues: (i) The Voice to Parliament; (ii) The Medicines and Poisons Amendment Act 2022 ; (iii) Goods and Services Tax reform and advocacy; (iv) Republic debate; (v) Cashless Debit Card program; (vi) The creation of a Federal Environmental Protection Agency; (vii) Industrial Relations changes; (viii) Australia Day and changing the date Australia Day is celebrated; (ix) National Rail Level Crossing program; (x) Youth crime measures and support packages which may be partially funded by the Commonwealth; (xi) China-Australia relations, and in particular: (A) Wine exports; (B) Barley exports; (C) Cybersecurity; (D) Iron ore; and (E) Lithium and related ores; (xii) Murujuga World Heritage listing; and (c) Do any of the Directorate staff attend National Cabinet with the Premier and if yes, please detail who and their role?

(a) The Intergovernmental Relations Directorate has a current headcount of 11.
(b) The Intergovernmental Relations Directorate leads Western Australia’s engagement with the Australian Government and other States and Territories, providing advice on a broad range of policy, funding and reporting matters.
This includes supporting the Premier’s participation in National Cabinet meetings, matters associated with state security and emergency management policy, and services provided by Western Australia to the Indian Ocean Territories.
(c) As part of National Cabinet protocols, attendees in the meeting are the Premier/Chief Minister and the First Secretary of their Department.
