SOUTHERN REGIONAL TAFE
1235. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the Leader of the
House representing the Minister for Training and Workforce Development:
I refer to the minister's
advice to a question asked a few weeks ago that 221 individual students and 119
businesses from the former Great Southern Institute of Technology were
overcharged a total of $263 983 during the 2014 and 2015 academic years.
(1) What was the
highest amount by which individual students and businesses were overcharged —
(a) in relation to which course or
courses; and
(b) on which campuses and in which
year were these courses delivered?
(2) Of the 156 unpaid refunds, how
many are to students and how many are to businesses?
(3) What action is being taken to
follow up these unpaid refunds?
