MOUNTS BAY MAIN DRAIN — UPGRADE
429. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the minister representing
the Minister for Planning:
I refer to the announcement made
yesterday in relation to an upgrade of the city's main stormwater
drain.
(1) What is the total cost of this
project?
(2) Was the cost
of the project included in the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority budget, or
that of the Water Corporation?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1)–(2) The
realignment of the Mounts Bay main drain is part of MRA's approved $440
million budget for the Elizabeth Quay project. The Water Corporation is funding
the additional elements of the upgrade to the Mounts Bay main drain.
