I refer to question on notice 2337, which was asked on Tuesday, 24 August 2004. The question was answered yesterday, 21 September 2004. (1) Did the expenditure of $1 458 400 on legal services for Peter Hastings, QC include costs of his accommodation in Perth and his interstate travel between Sydney-Perth, Perth-Sydney, as well as his legal fee? (2) If yes, what sum was paid for - (a) Mr Hastings’ accommodation in Perth; and (b) Mr Hastings’ interstate travel between Sydney-Perth and Perth-Sydney? (3) If no, was any amount additional to the $1 458 400 paid for - (a) Mr Hastings’ accommodation in Perth; or (b) Mr Hastings’ interstate travel between Sydney-Perth and Perth-Sydney?
