Western Power:
Western Power (WP) policy is required to pay compensation when it has acted negligently.
On occasion, WP provides ex gratia payments on a commercial-in-confidence basis. This includes circumstances where Western Power has received compensation claims, however the question of negligence is not unequivocal and the amount involved and other relevant factors dictate the settlement of the matter.
Given the confidential nature of the settlements it is not appropriate to provide details of ex gratia payments.
