(1) Is the Minister aware of the serious health and environmental problems that the Tambellup townsite is facing as a result of the rising water table beneath the townsite?
(2) Is the Minister aware that because of these serious problems, Tambellup was included in the Coalition Government’s ‘Rural Towns Program’ and that the installation of a reticulated sewerage system was identified as the Number 1 priority in the Salinity Management Strategy developed for the townsite?
(3) Will the Minister advise if the Tambellup townsite will be connected to a reticulated sewerage system in the summer of 2004/2005?
(4) If not, why not?
(5) If the answer to (3) is no, will the Minister advise when the Tambellup townsite will be connected to a reticulated sewerage system?

It is provisionally planned to tender the works in September/October 2004, with construction during the summer of 2004/2005. It is expected connections can be made to the system from May 2005.
